Reilly’s Oak Whiskey Red gets its distinguished flavor from aging in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels for up to one year. The aroma of bourbon jumps out at you, followed by delicate toffee. The flavor is rich and complex, with slight vanilla, oak and caramel. This medium bodied ale has a lovely pale ruby color and creamy, off-white head. The finish is clean with a slight warming sensation.
Food Pairing: beer cheese bisque, grilled salmon with a tomato-pesto cream sauce or brined turkey. Cheese like Parmigiano Reggiano, barrel-aged feta, and Mull cheddar
Awards: Gold medal Great American Beer Fest 2007
